Last week I got to take a trip to Hawaii for my job. We take our clients every summer and just hang out for a week. It was a wonderful time! I took over 300 pictures, it was so hard to choose just a few. The big island is such a beautiful place, I hope these pictures communicate the uniqueness and diversity of the island. Fact: 13 of the 16 climates of the world are on this one island. One minute it looks like you're on the moon, steamy sulfur escaping the cracked ground; the next minute you see rolling, wet hills; the next you're in a palm-filled tourist trap.

This is a sunrise shot from the airplane. It's the northern Washington coastline, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north. The entire flight home the big dipper was right out my window, and I saw a lot of shooting stars.

Nice! I've been to Kona, but I was only in 7th grade, so I don't think I appreciated it as much as I'm sure you did.

rose! gus and i spent our honeymoon in kona. we stayed at the hilton waikaloa village. we even ate at bubba gumps and went to the painted church. i bet we walked on the same paths and sat on the same beaches. my favorite is spelling things with the stark white coral on the black lava rock. we will have to share pictures.
What is your job? I think I would like to get hired so I can be taken on a Hawaiian "business" trip! :)
